Tagged!

I was tagged twice over the weekend! Kat tagged me for the book meme which I hope to do later this afternoon, because the book I’m reading is upstairs and I’m too lazy to go and get it. Plus, I have to leave for work in about 20 minutes and…well, I’m wasting time by explaining.

The other tag I got was from my New Friend Siobhan (she’s Scottish, you know! LOL). Here are the instructions and my answers:

A) Each player answers the questions about themselves.

B) At the end of the post, the player then tags 2 people and posts their names, then goes to their blog and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

10 years ago:
*I was still working in the nursery at the health club where I now teach. I was able to have the job and have my kids with me, which was fantastic.
*We had just returned from a great trip to San Francisco: I LOVED IT, but haven’t been able to get back there!
*I was in my second year of teaching second grade religious school
*I had already been married for 11 years (wow, now I feel really, really old)
*I was driving a cherry red Plymouth Voyager (red because it was my favorite color AND because I was trying to make a family minivan “sporty”)

5 Things that were on my “to-do” list for today: (I’ll use yesterday’s list since today is still fresh!)
*Teach both 2nd grade classes at religious school, since my “partner” is in CA
*Iron
*Grocery Shop
*Work on magazine article
*Try not to fall asleep
*Watch the finale of “American Gladiators”

I Enjoy:
*Writing
*Walking the dog (but haven’t in a couple of weeks: too cold and icy outside!)
*Group fitness classes
*Being at home
*Travel
*Spare time (I don’t get it very often)
*Conversing with my kids

What would I do if I suddenly became a MILLIONAIRE?:
*Hmmm.
*We’ve actually talked about this before, though we never play the lottery…
*We would set up better college funds for the kids
*We would pay off the house
*We would invest some
*We would share some with our family
*We would give ourselves a little raise in the monthly expense money we write into our current budget.

5 Jobs that I have had:
*McDonalds (one of my fave jobs: I worked at the location just off the high school campus with many of my friends!)
*Head cashier and Custom Framer at Leewards Craft Store
*Custom Framer and Art Gallery consultant in a Kenosha, Wisconsin art gallery
*Membership Sales at a health club
*Part-time Salon Coordinator

5 Things People Don’t know about me:
*I sometimes put a knife or other object under one end of my plate so gravy or other liquid food doesn’t run into everything else
*Sometimes I listen to aerobic music while I drive
*Although I seem organized on the outside, it is mostly an illusion
*My first and only “big breakup” was with a woman and not a man (get your heads out of the gutter: she was my best friend for 5 years and we ended up having a big falling-out)
*Due to the fact that I wear a size 11 shoe, I hate shoes.

I have a lot of friends in the UK that have a size 8 foot (US 11). I don’t think it’s big at all. Plus, you get all the bargain shoes because all the other sizes are sold out. Lucky.

Melissa: I’ve been doing that since I was a kid, and taking heat for it from many (my dad REALLY enjoys teasing me about it)…but I don’t care. I don’t like when my food mingles! 🙂

Siobhan: I try to look at it that way BUT many stores don’t even bother getting 11’s in many styles, and so I end up getting stuck with little variety…

Qweenie: I’m going to your blog right now!
