Hurling Was Never So Hilarious.

Did you see “Jam the Vote” on Weekend Update last night? (Fast Forward to 5:23 and then watch it til 2:56. One more thing: GROSSOUT WARNING!!!!)

Well, it’s a good thing I did, because otherwise I wouldn’t have laughed when Roxie just missed vomiting in my face today.

I was putting away the laundry in my bedroom, and she was seated in her normal place amongst my pillows:

I walked over and sprawled out on my stomach on the bed, blowing in her face through the pillows, and she was making that cute little protest noise that she does when we tease her. I brought my face closer and closer, and then she “snapped” at me/towards me (in her playful way: she doesn’t actually bite; she gets as close as she knows she can get without punishment). I exclaimed, “Augh! Roxie, NOT NICE!!!” (because she understands me, you know?)

I leaned in closer and tapped my finger on my own nose, saying, “Gimme a kiss now.”

That’s when I heard the burp, and I jumped back, moving faster than the speed of light (slight exaggeration), and there it came:

BLAH!!!!

She missed my face by mere millimeters. I was irritated and relieved at the same time.

And then I thought of Andy Samberg’s “Jam the Vote”, having just seen it yesterday, and laughed as I cleaned up the mess from my lovely comforter.

Hmmm. In my world, laughing and puking just don’t go together. I can’t bring myself to go near the matter (thank you lovely husband o’ mine!). Glad you could deal with it in a more healthy manner! OH, and I do like the haircut 🙂

    Oh my, poor you.

Glad to hear I am not the only one that speaks with their pets as though they knew what you’re saying.

Roxie looks so cute in that heap of pillows.

yep. scruffy makes this weird noise right before he hurls. It usually wakes me up in the middle of the night!
