Ohhhh…I Thought I Was Posting in the SUBurban Dictionary.

Not to beat a dead horse, but wasn’t it exciting yesterday when Tom, Momo, and Weaselmomma and I totally blunked Nukedad AND I got the word “blunked” into the Urban Dictionary? Totally a banner day.

Except for one of the 5,000 phone conversations I had with Weaselmomma, when she started laughing uncontrollably. (That’s actually not unusual for her: she laughs A LOT. Surprised? I didn’t think so.)

I said, “What’s so funny?”

She said, “Well, you know…the Urban Dictionary is full of street language and such, and here’s a middle-aged Jewish woman getting a word in there.”

I said, “I AM NOT middle-aged!!!!!” (Jewish? yes.) And then I thought for a minute. “OH MY GOD, I think I AM middle-aged*!!!”

All I want to know is, WHEN did this happen, and WHO is responsible???

I just looked up “middle-aged”, because I’m just that much of a dork. Wikipedia defines it as: “Middle age is the period of life beyond young adulthood but before the onset of old age.” I’m in better shape with Princeton, which defines it as “being roughly between 45 and 65 years old”. Shew, five more years. At least, mentally, I still feel like I’m not a day over 23.

    I’m already there. But I don’t feel a day over 80.

(and yes – yesterday’s blunking was a ton of fun!)

I just spent the week-end chasing my 3 year old nephew. I am DEFINITELY middle-aged but compared to a 90 year old,we’re positively youthful. Now, if only my joints would comply with my Earth,Wind and Fire moves..

Okay, so I’m turning 45 this month and, according to you, AM a few short days away from being middle-aged and just one thing to say to all ya’ll:

HEY YOU KIDS, GET OFF MY LAWN!!!

There, I feel much better now.

Wow, if 65 is middle aged do you plan to live to be 130…I think I’ll pass.

Off to read what blunked means…can I say I knew you when?

Way to go, Weaselmomma! I’m so proud of you for picking up on that one… and pressing the case 🙂 I’m laughing uproariously right there with ya.
