Goal #1: ATTAINED!

Gah! I was really, really hoping to do one last vlog, especially today WHEN I COMPLETED MY FIRST GOAL (woot!), but I am running around like a chicken with my head cut off, getting ready to fly out to New York at o’dark thirty tomorrow, and the thought of waiting for the vlog to upload and process and…well, you get the idea.

Quick summary: I got very little sleep last night (what else is new?), mostly due to my ongoing mental insanity about what I still needed to do around here before leaving town for five days, but also because there were really bad storms starting around 3:30 a.m., which is when I woke up. (yeah, I know.)

I was so tired that I didn’t catch myself making a huge mistake. I needed to do my FINAL run today before teaching my normal spin class, the one I’ve taught for three years now. I rushed out the door at 7 to get to the health club so I could run. I hopped on the treadmill, and had a tough time of it…but let it go. Total running time was probably about 18 minutes, and the rest was walking. But it was fine. I didn’t care. I still FINISHED.

I left the treadmill and went to set up my bike. At 8:28, I was sitting on the bike in the room all alone. I was very, very excited that it was possible nobody was going to come to class, because, as you know, I had lots to do.

And then I remembered. My class is at 9:30. I’ve taught at that time for three years and forgot it this morning, of all days.

SAD TROMBONE.

The club is too far away from my house to have run home for a bit, so I had to totally waste that hour. WHATEVER. I was so annoyed.

Anyway, I finished my Couch To 5K training, and whatever happens at the 5K on Friday will happen. I’m sure I’ll be fine! I can’t wait!

Are you going to Blogher? Please find Michelle and me on Wednesday or Thursday and sign our hot pink shirts so you can “go” on the 5K with us!

Michelle and I have a 6:15 (Eastern) start time on Friday. Please think about us, and wish us luck!

Oh, I almost forgot, my FINAL playlist! This is what I’ll be listening to in Central Park!

Total Time= 50 minutes (just in case I need extra music!)

New York, New York (Moby, featuring Debbie Harry) (WARM UP)
Chelsea Dagger (The Fratellis)
Defying Gravity (Idina Menzel: Funky Junction & Antony mix)

Excellent job! Good luck during the race… probably not appropriate to say 'break a leg' but the sentiment is the same. You'll do great!
