And I Don’t Even Work In An Office.

I have just spent the last hour on the phone with Epson tech support regarding our brand-new printer at the salon. Actually, this brand-new printer replaced our brand-new printer that we bought in May; it suddenly broke down and we got this one with the warranty. Anyway, I would rather poke my eye out with a stick than talk to tech support.

Long story short…they referred me to Apple, saying it’s THEIR problem and as soon as Apple tells me how to fix this error message I’m getting, the printer will work fine.

This is how I am currently feeling:
(EDIT: OOPS! I forgot to add when I first posted this to either listen with the volume off or make sure you’re not around any impressionable ears…or bosses. Sorry!)

This is so funny! I DO work in an office and feel this way from time to time.
How do you post videos in your blog body for blogger? I can’t figure this out. I click on the video link but it directs me to my drives.

haha, you’re becoming my help desk.

May your tiara be big and full of sparkles!

Seriously Melisa, don’t hold back…tell us how you really feel! 😉 I hope you get it figured out soon!

When I read your first Twitter this morning about just having arrived to work and you were already crabby, I actually thought, “Someone’s got a case of the Mondays!” Hope it all worked out.

LOVE LOVE LOVE that movie – because I’ve been right there, ready to beat the heck out of office equipment! LMAO! Sorry your printers are screwy!!!

  • Melisa

Sarah: E-mail me so I can e-mail you back the instructions!

Melissa: oops, sorry. I forgot the language warning. But it’s on there now! (and yes, that’s how I was really feeling!)

Julie: LOL! I HAVE had a case of the Mondays, all dang day long. But I’m home alone for the next 90 minutes and can watch some kind of crappy tv, so I feel better already.

Deanna: The sad thing is, NOBODY at the salon has seen “Office Space”, so when I was ranting about how I wanted to take the old printer out back and beat the crap out of it like they do in the movie, I got blank stares. Oh, and one person who said, “I’m not home on Thursdays so I don’t watch it.” UGH!

    Ummm….yeah……

I love that scene from the movie. OH man I’ve SO been there!

(No kidding, no one had seen it? What planet are they from?)

  • Michelle

That is one of my all time favorite scenes from just a suberb movie!

And someday, I’ll destroy something just as thoroughly.

  • Melisa

Kathy: I KNOW! Not ONE person had seen it, out of the six that were there at the time! I couldn’t believe it either.

    Michelle: Can I come along? I’ll help…

  • Melisa

    Yeah…that was hilarious! 🙂

And speaking of coming in on Caturday, I’d BETTER see your a$$ in spin class tomorrow night, Deanna!

  • Dea

I will try – I couldn’t breathe around the phlegm today! I bought Mucinex…..figured coughing up stuff on a bike = bad idea??? LOL!

I hate talking to any kind of tech support, they’re so bloody condescending.

One time I had to phone Qwest and they asked me if I was connected to the modem or if my computer was wireless. I said both. Long silence. I said, sounding a little miffed, “our PC is connected to the MODEM, our MAC is WIRELESS.” “Oh, ok.” (I felt like saying, shut your dirty mouth). The he asks me to click the IE icon. After a bit, I said, “I’m not seeing it…” “It’s a blue ‘e’ with a…” Now I’m mad: “I KNOW what it looks like, it’s NOT on my DESKTOP and it’s NOT in my START menu.”
“Oh, I’m sorry…” Yeah, he was. I was not amused. Like I said, I HATE tech support. I rarely use the word hate, too.

Siobhan: I think I’ve had practically that same conversation with several tech support reps! ICKY!

  • Andie

ha! that’s a remake of probably one of my most favorite scenes in one of my most favorite movies.

    Have you seen my stapler?

  • Melisa

Andie: Ha! I was in such a tizzy that I didn’t even notice it was redone: I thought that was the actual scene from the movie! hee hee
(I’m not sure if anyone else noticed, either…it’s pretty good!)
